Governance Support
Providing the engineering assessments and technical analysis that responsible SRM governance frameworks require — and that the policy community currently lacks.
Developing governance policy for SRM is critically important, but progress has been limited. CCI is working to fill information voids which hindered policy development.
CCI's engineering assessments cover:
- Technical barriers that could limit implementation and concentrate political power
- Deployment options and risks
- Cost/benefit ratios
SRM governance cannot be developed in the absence of credible technical information. Without rigorous engineering assessments, governance frameworks lack the grounding they need to manage risks, allocate responsibilities, and prevent unilateral action. CCI's governance support work provides the technical foundation that policy development requires.
This is public-interest research. CCI does not consult for governments, industry, or political organizations. Our findings are published openly and are available to all policy actors.
The Governance Support program has passed its Preliminary Feasibility Review. CCI is advancing technical assessments and seeking partnerships to expand analytical capacity.
